This new wave of Proto Industrial Electronic groups popping up is creating a swelling exciting in my loins. now that im done with that, Agent side grinder is a Suicide Esque group tinged with joy divisions gloom. These tracks are soaked in the melancholy guitar hooks that made acts like echo & the bunnymen, kept up with a quick pop drum beat these songs makes them into infectious numbers. Unusually Enough i cannot help but have Tom Waits come to mind when i hear this mans vocals, the power and depth in his bellowing contrasts against spacey far out synth leads.

Silk Flowers dark numbers are pieces with songs written so pure over fresh shoegaze soundscapes. The production is similar to acts like Suicide, but actually instead of taking in a kind of Stooges rock aesthetic, they take on the darker goth acts like Joy Division & Bauhaus. Their tracks are creative breaths of fresh air in the robotic apocalyptic future that is not too far away, if not already here. Here’s World Domination Enterprises with their unique brand of hillbilly industrial rock. Sounds like two VW Beetles, filled with sneering, be-mulleted youths, colliding head-on, cigarettes and empty spray cans everywhere. WDE were actually infamous for covering L.L. Cool James’s “I Can’t Live Without My Radio”, but the track is impossible to hunt down. I’m sure the meeting of dissonant guitars and the dope rhymes of “Ladies Love Cool James” was glorious. Any clues as to its whereabouts are welcome.

Janitor- Rubbernecker

Janitor is philosophically committed to  intonation, aggressive dance, digital sampling, and high volumes.  Owen Gardner, who also plays in Black Vatican, produces the music.  While Owen has been guided by the voices of contemporary non-western music, Scott from Janitor is a committed Gurdijeffian, seeking psychic liberation through transgressive exploration of childhood traumas. Lucy Cliché executes distorted keyboard melodies, while Matthew P Hopkins plays psyched out bass guitar, which is all kept together with pounding drum machine beats. Invaders From Sears- Sweater

Invaders from sears formed in 1986 in western conneticut, and released 2 albums before vanishing
in 1989. Rumor has it they are recording their 3rd album “I’m the prom queen”. Moby and
sonic youth have referenced Invaders from Sears as an influence for their own music. The Invaders recorded everything with
a 3 track portastudio that once belonged to peter frampton. Both of their albums can be described
as post new wave/proto indie pop. If you like Invaders From Sears, check out the band “Closet full of Fear” another band from Conneticut circa 1986.

Mike Mangino and Chris Shepard started recording together in 1979 and began releasing cassettes as Smersh in 1981. Smersh recorded improvised cuts on Monday nights and released countless cassettes on their own label, Atlas King.
